Progress on new industrial facade

Some images of the new industrial facade which will ultimately represent the backside of fictional "DEELDER STAAL BV". The background and roofing are the next things to tackle.

Deelder Staal was constructed of Slater brickstone walls painted with Humbrol No. 70 and Humbrol No. 140 thinned 50/50 for the spaces between the stones. The emergency door was painted with Humbrol No. 25. Lots of Evergreen strips were used in different sizes applied with Kristal Klear, the wonderweapon of glues. The building is 36.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep.

The new facade is longer than the old, yellow one with much finer brick work. The overall impression should be much better once the roof is on and with the backwall applied and painted.

Note that the ground is not equalized yet, hence the gaps which will disappear once the building is finished and put in the correct spot.

Prototype: the building is inspired by typical Dutch industrial buildings like they can, for example, be found in Rotterdam. See some inspirational images below.
